HOW IT HAPPENED
- Graduate Nate Martin dropped a game-high 16 points for the Lions, converting on 6 of 12 (50%) field goal attempts and knocking down one of three three-point attempts. Freshman Brendan McNamara chipped in 12 points while Graduate Jarred Houston 13 points.
- Both sides were evenly matched as the Lions converted on 24 of 54 (44.4%) attempts while the Beaver's converted on 23 of 58 (39.7%) attempts. The Beavers created their advantage from beyond the three-point line; knocking down 9 of 21 (42.9%) attempts while the Lions were only able to convert one of 9 attempts (11.1%).
- The Lions dominated the paint; outscoring the Beavers by a total of 36-16 under the basket.
- The Lions feel behind to open the game as Babson jumped out to a 16 point lead a little over halfway through the first half.
- Seven points apiece by Houston and Martin helped keep the Lions close; while Senior Ben Allen chipped in 6-first half points. The Lions trailed by a score of 33-26 after the first 20 minutes.
- The Lions continued to fight and stay in the game throughout the second half. McNamara helped by scoring 10 of his 12 points in the second half.
