HOW IT HAPPENED `
- Emerson found themselves down 9-0 two minutes into the first quarter when an Olivia Deslauriers was able to get the Lions on the board.
- The Bears extended their lead to as many as 13 when Emma Puddington drilled a three-pointer with :56 remaining in the first quarter to give Coast Guard a 23-10 lead.
- Ava Salti would answer with a three-pointer of her own with :5 remaining in the quarter to bring the Lions back within 10 points.
- Two jumpers from Glory Blethen to open the second quarter would push Coast Guard's lead to 14 points.
- The teams would trade buckets the remainder of the fourth quarter, but Coast Guard would hold on to a 41-27 lead headed into halftime.
- The Bears would come out of halftime on a 14-7 run to capture a 21-point lead with 5:05 remaining in the third quarter.
- The Lions were able to outscore Coast Guard 23-17 in the fourth quarter as Bianca Benson and Mackenzie Bruno chipped in 7 points apiece off the bench.
- Coast Guard's lead would hold as they secured an 84-61 victory.
