HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson's Jarred Houston led all scorers with 27 points, including 10 points in the first half. The Lions as a whole shot 9-29 (31%) from the field; including converting 3 of 14 three-point attempts.
- Augsburg was led by Bradley Winter scoring 10 of his team-high 16 points in the first half. The Eagles made 13 of 30 (43.3%) attempts from the field, including 4 of 10 from three-point range.
- Augsburg bested the Lions through the first 20 minutes and entered halftime with a 32-23 lead.
- The second half saw the Lions shoot almost 50% from the field as Sean Coman chipped in 10 of his 13 points. Houston added another 17 points to help the Lions stay within striking distance down the stretch.
- The Eagles almost matched the Lions field goal percentage in the second half; shooting nearly 50%.
- The Final 7 minutes saw both sides take the lead, along with three ties. Ultimately, a jump shot by winter would seal the game for Augsburg would narrowly escape with a 64-60 victory.
