The Lead: The Lions had three players score in double-figures, but a strong second half by Bridgewater State gave the Bears a 93-58 victory over the Emerson Women's Basketball team on day two of the BSU Cave Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions were led by Senior Chelsea Gibbons and Junior Olivia Deslauriers who scored 13 points apiece. Junior Ella Bushee also contributed 10 points while Sophomore Mackenzie Bruno pulled down 9 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.
- Bridgewater State's Sydney Bradbury led all scorers with 20 points and filled the stat sheet by adding 6 steals, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds.
- The Bears led 40-31 in a first half which saw the Lions commit 18 of the 28 total turnovers. The Lions connected on 47.8% (11-23) of their field goals attempts and went 3-for-7 (42.9%) from behind the arc and 6-for-9 (66.7%) at the charity stripe. The Bears shot 41.7% (15-36) over the first 20 minutes and converted on 9 of 15 (60%) free throw attempts.
- The second half saw the Bears pull away, outscoring the Lions by a score of 53-27. The Bears would string together a 17-4 run and would not allow the Lions to get any closer than 19 points after the run.
- The Bears ultimately came away with a victory by a score of 93-58 and improved to 5-0 on the season while Emerson falls to 1-6.
