  • Wentworth was forced to call a timeout in an attempt to stop Emerson's momentum. The Lions continued to keep their distance from the Leopards as they built a 19-11 lead.
  • Wentworth found some momentum late as they rattled off 6 consecutive points, forcing Emerson to call a timeout as they cut the lead to just two points.
  • Coming out of the timeout, the Lions scored 6 of the next 7 points to give them a 25-18 set victory.

SET TWO

  • The Lions stayed strong into the second set. Kills by Cummings and Kay along with another ace by Bond gave the Lions a 5-2 advantage.
