- Down one at the 15 minute mark, Davis and senior Vince Conn nailed three constructive three's to start off a 13-4 spurt that propelled the Lions to an eight-point lead with 10:22 to go in the frame.
- The hosts were able to maintain an eight-figure edge over the Bears until another shot from downtown by Davis lifted the Lions into a double-digit advantage at 11 with the score at 25-14.
- Starting at the 8:39 mark, Emerson continued to build its extensive lead and used shots from Houston and Waterhouse to push their advantage up to 14 with 6:55 on the clock.
- A 6-0 run by Coast Guard inched the Bears to within single digits on Drummond's successful trip to the charity stripe to put the score at 33-24, but Davis poured five points on the other end to give Emerson the 11-point lead at the half.
- Coast Guard began the second frame on a 7-2 run to inch back within seven, their smallest deficit since the opening minutes of the first half, on a trey from Perez.
- Starting on a layup from Houston, Emerson began to quickly pull as the Lions spread an 11-0 spark over the next several minutes to balloon the lead to 16 at 52-36 with 12:12 to go in the half.
- Emerson continued to drop bucket after bucket and were able to venture into a 20-point lead at 23 behind Martin's jumper at 6:51 and the score at 64-41.
- At 3:05, Waterhouse connected for a corner three that put the senior in the Emerson record books as he hit the 1,000 point milestone.
- The closest Coast Guard came to catching Emerson was at 15 on Rooney's perfect free throw trip, but the Lions commanded down the stretch and ran away with the 75-59 victory.
