The Lead: Jarred Houston led the Emerson men's basketball team with another double-double of 14 points and 21 rebounds as the Lions defeated Clark on Wednesday evening. Nate Martin scored a game high 21 points and Zach Waterhouse chipped in 18 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clark held a 13-11 lead with 9:16 remaining in the first half, but the Lions would soon after taking the lead and never look back.
- Scoring all seven of his points in the first half, Emerson's James Beckwith led the Lions on a 14-0 run to extend their lead to 18 points with 3:01 left in the half.
- Nate Martin scored 10 of his game-high 21 points in the first half to help the Lions maintain their lead. Clark was able to cut into the lead before half, but not by much as the Lions went to the locker room with a 38-22 lead.
- Clark's Tyler Davern would score the Cougars first seven points as the teams traded baskets to open the second half.
- Zach Waterhouse would help keep the Lions in the lead as he added 10 of his 18 points in the second half as Emerson's lead remained 16 points at 51-35 with 12:14 remaining in the game.
- Clark would pull within 11 points with 8:50 to go, but Emerson would again extend their lead on their way to a 72-59 victory.
