Box Score The Lady Lions had an impressive 72-63 victory over Clark University on February 21st. This improved the Emerson Women's Basketball team's overall record to 12-13 with their NEWMAC record at 6-10. Clark's record is now 4-20 overall and 2-14 in the conference.
The first half ended with a score of 38-21, Emerson. The Lady Lions played a tough half holding a lead of 20 points over Clark, the biggest lead in the game. Emerson's Eastin Ashby, played a competitive first half scoring 11 of her overall 18 points.
Clark played more aggressive after halftime scoring 42 points over Emerson's 34. Clark University's Aretha Sullivan had a great second half, putting 11 points up on the board with 13 points overall. Emerson junior Kelsey Johnson put up 15 points on the board, 17 overall as the second highest scorer of the game.
Overall Emerson shot 42.3% in field goals, with an impressive 74.2% at the line, as well as 27.8% from outside. Clark University finished with 28.8% in field goals, an also impressive 68.4% from the line and shot 29.6% from outside.
