It was a tough loss today for the Emerson Lions, who fought tooth and nail but couldn't hold off Babson, losing the game 50-75. The first quarter saw the Lion's Mike Carbone leading the offense with 2 three-pointers and 3 made shots, but the recovery power of Babson would prove too much. Babson lead in rebounds 37-23, which kept the Lions from getting the second opportunities they needed. Babson led going out of the first half 37-22.

The second half saw Emerson making moves to catch up, as they peppered the Babson hoop with 32 shots to their 27. The Lions put up a fight but only 10 of these 32 shots hit their target, keeping Babson ahead for the end of the half, bringing the final score to 50-75.

The Lions are now 9-9 overall and 3-5 in the NEWMAC conference. They look next to WPI at home on Wednesday February 4th at 7:00pm.
