With a quick basket by Catherine Cloutier to start the game, the Lions took the lead.  The first half showcased back to back 3-point shots by freshman point guard, Maya Savino giving the Lions an 8-3 lead. While Emerson kept the lead, a 4 minute lull kept both teams scoreless until freshmen forward Sierra Ducey broke the ice with a layup scoring a total of 9 points in the game.  Mount Holyoke's Amber Legare lead the Lyons with 6 points and 6 rebounds in the first half, but it was not enough as the half ended 23-18 in Emerson's favor.

In the second half, the Lions came out strong again starting off with a 3-point shot by Emily Cameron. Senior captain and lead scorer of the game, Kristin Brice played well in the paint seeing 13 points and 6 rebounds on the game. Brice was steadily trailed by Mount Holyoke's Kate Karraker who finished the game with 12 points and 4 rebounds.
