Final Second Shot Clinches Victory for Men's Basketball

In a thrilling matchup where the largest lead was only 7 points, the Emerson Lions achieved victory over Coast Guard. The Lions were down by 2 points at halftime and traded baskets with Coast Guard until there was only 10 seconds left, when a jump shot by lead scorer Austin Pickney put Emerson into the lead. A foul on Eli Kell-Abrams with only 1 second left lead to another 2 points, cementing the Lions victory.

Other lead scorers include Ryan Clinesmith with 10 points. While Jacob Forchheimer and Tyson Hallowell both scored 8 points and made two 3-pointers. Defensive accolades go to Brian Hurley with 3 steals and 3 blocked shots. With this victory the Lions record rises to 7 - 6 overall and 1 - 1 in the NEWMAC. The Bears drop to 5-8 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
