Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

NEWTON, Mass. – Jules Augustine floored 34 kills on the day for a lethal .582 attack percentage as the Emerson Women's Volleyball Team kept up their winning ways Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Framingham State and a 3-0 sweep over Lasell College. The wins place Emerson at 4-0 on the season.

First up saw the Lions take on the Framingham State Rams which saw the offense take a bit of time to click in as Annie Hall and Jules Augustine both put up three kills to lead the way. Emerson's three team blocks proved clutch as well with two assists from Augustine to take a 25-17 win. Set two saw the Rams push back at EC, this time putting up nine kills to Emerson's seven while unforced errors proved the real crux in the set letting FSU tie it up with a 25-23 win.

The third set saw Emerson finally click on all cylinders as they crushed a .229 team average as Elaine Nichols led the way with 14 assists while Jules Augustine just unleashed on FSU for an unreal nine kills and .667 attack average while Amanda Linzmeyer put up three block assists to take the 27-25 win. Another battle awaited in the fourth set with six tie scores in the back and fourth, but Emerson's .304 average with seven more kills from Augustine cemented it for the Lions, as they took a 25-19 win.

The second match of the day pitted the Lions against the hosting Lasell Lasers who gave Emerson a run for their money in the first with four tie scores. Augustine wasn't to be denied though, this time dropping five more kills in the first set alone against LC taking the extra point 27-25 win.

Set two saw Emerson spread the offense more with six different Lions putting up kills in the set as they took the lead and never looked back for a 25-21 win. Three was all EC needed in the match as Augustine lit up for five more kills. The difference was in the serving game though as Emerson posted seven aces in the set, two from Elaine Nichols and Sam Harton alone to close out the 25-18 win.

Next up the Lions will travel to the Brandeis University Invitational this Friday and Saturday for three matches in Waltham, Mass.
