Ashley Woodside is entering her second season as an assistant coach with the Emerson Lions.

When she is not coaching, she works full time at Beth Israel Lahey Health as an exercise physiologist. Woodside comes from Hampden, Maine where she played for Hampden Academy and played No. 1 singles all four years and was captain for two years. 

Woodside attended Colby-Sawyer College from 2014-2018, where she received her Bachelors in Exercise Science and a coaching certification. She then went on to receive her Masters in Clinical-Human Performance from Liberty University.

During her time at Colby-Sawyer, she played tennis all four years at the #1 position. She was selected as Rookie of the Year in 2014 and Player of the Year for the conference in 2016 and 2017 along with many other accolades. Woodside finished her career as the Chargers' all-time leader in singles victories, tied for first in total wins, and second in doubles wins. Woodside also earned the 2017-18 Charger Award for Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year.  She also had the privilege of working at the International Tennis Hall of Fame for a number of years as a tennis pro and still plays tennis with local teams in her spare time.
