Kelsey Neville is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the Emerson men’s and women’s tennis programs. Her coaching experience includes a variety of levels, from grade school summer camps to coaching elite high school players who have gone on to play college tennis.
Neville graduated from Drake University in 2022 with a B.S. in Computer Science where she played Division I tennis all four years for the Bulldogs, competing in the Missouri Valley Conference. As a freshman, Neville and her doubles partner secured a Missouri Valley Conference Doubles title. During her time at Drake, the team won back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference championships. In 2021, the Bulldogs clinched their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2000.
Originally from Antioch, Illinois, she played four years of varsity tennis in high school and led her team to consecutive sectional championships. She was ranked in the top-25 in the state of Illinois. Neville was a four-time state qualifier, finishing in fourth-place as a junior and sixth-place as a senior, earning first team all-state honors her final two seasons.
When she is not coaching, Neville works as a software engineer. In her free time, she reads, dog-sits, travels, and enjoys playing in tennis leagues around the area.
