ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (September 5, 2026) – Emerson College opened its 2026 season with a 17^th place team finish at the 2026 Suffolk Short Court Classic, hosted by Suffolk University, on the three-kilometer Mark Coogan Cross Country Course at Highland Park today.

Sophomore Natalie Suplick led the way for Emerson by running the three-kilometer course in 14:27.2 to place 136^th overall among the 208 entries in the 20-team meet. The Lions finished 17^th overall as a team, with Division I University of New Hampshire taking the team title with 36 points by placing its top four runners in the top ten. Johnson & Wales University junior Amanda Intieri took first overall in 10:43.2.

            Emerson returns to action in two weeks, when it competes at the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College, on Saturday, September 19, in Wenham, Massachusetts.
