WELLESLEY, Mass. (September 19, 2026) – Wellesley College, ranked No. 41 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division III national rankings, swept its way to a 7-0 victory over Emerson College in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener for both at The Amy Batchelor Tennis Courts today.

- Xu and Bain completed a sweep of the three doubles matches to earn Wellesley its first point of the match with their 6-3 victory over Emerson sophomore Teah Login and first year Elora Hooge.
- Junior Sophie Buttorff earned the second point for the Blue with her win at No. 4 singles, dropping just one game over the two sets.
- Senior Lily Cade drew Wellesley within a point of the match win with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles before junior Nandini Patel won the match clinching point for the Blue at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2
