Colby Defeats Men's Tennis

Mules win all nine matches for non-conference victory

WATERVILLE, Maine (February 28, 2026) – Colby College won all nine matches on its way to a 7-0 victory over Emerson College in a non-conference men's tennis match this afternoon.

Highlights:

  • Sophomore Jason Daly and freshman Bilal Asim led six double-winners for Colby in its season-opening win.

How It Happened

  • Colby swept the three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match while dropping just three games along the way. Daly and Asim earned a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles for the Mules.
  • Colby did not drop a set in sweeping the six singles matches to close out the match.
  • Daly took a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 1 singles over Emerson junior Filippo Nocchi, while Asim followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles against sophomore Connor Leung.
