BEVERLY, Mass. – Emerson Men's Tennis opened the fall segment of its 2025-26 season this weekend at the two-day North Shore Slam Tournament co-hosted by Endicott and Gordon. The event, which took place on Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 13-14, featured four singles draws and two doubles draws involving Emerson, the two hosts, and Wheaton.
First year Tai Finestone was the Lion who had the most success at the event, capturing the White Singles Draw Championship. He also paired up with sophomore Connor Leung to win the Blue Doubles Draw.
An Emerson student-athlete would have also won the Yellow Singles Draw as junior Finn Leeves-Coben and Clayton Splaine were set to face off in the final, but it was not played due to injury.
The Lions also had a semifinalist in the Blue Singles Draw in junior Filippo Nocchi. Nocchi and Adam Alireza were also the runner-up duo in the Blue Doubles Draw.
