WENHAM, Mass. – Emerson senior Yasmin Defne Dadikhi crossed the finish line at the Pop Crowell Invitational with a time of 22:08.94 to take first place at the event on Saturday (Sept. 13). Defne Dadikhi's time contributed to a 163 team score for the Lions, which placed them sixth in the 12 team field.
The senior runner bested the field by over a minute. Her classmate Olivia Kardos was the team's second finisher, ranking in the top-30 of the 118-runner field. She took 25:40.56 to finish the six-kilometer race.
Emerson's three other scorers were first year Natalie Suplick (37th, 26:29.25), junior Anna Brody (57th, 27:43.39), and first year Laila Morales (70th, 28:53.05).

Emerson will hit the trails again next week on Saturday, Sept. 20 as it travels to UMass Dartmouth for the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at noon.
