WESTWOOD, Mass.- Junior Yasmine Defne Dadikhi (Istanbul, Turkiye) of the Emerson College women's cross country team has been tabbed the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Runner of the Week, announced the league office Monday.

Defne Dadikhi captured the individual crown to lead the Lions to a first-place finish at the Hampshire College Founding Tree Invitational. She bested the field with a time of 24:09 on the 6K course.

Emerson returns to action October 19 at the Runnin' Monks Invitational hosted by St. Joseph's College (Maine).
