Rob Rossi Hired as Director of Athletic Communications

BOSTON, Mass.-  Emerson College Associate Dean for Campus Life & Director of Athletics Stephanie Smyrl has announced the appointment of Rob Rossi as Director of Athletic Communications.

With his extensive experience and passion for sports communication, Rob is poised to elevate our athletic programs to new heights," stated Smyrl. "His innovative vision and commitment to excellence will undoubtedly enhance our engagement with fans and amplify the achievements of our athletes. We warmly welcome Rob to the Emerson Community and look forward to the fresh perspectives he will bring."

Rossi arrives at Emerson following a 12-year stint at nearby Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. At ENC, he began as Sports Information Director before being promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Scheduling. Rossi was the primary media contact for all of the Lions' athletic programs and also served on numerous committees. In 2024, he was inducted into the Carroll F. Bradley Hall of Fame at Eastern Nazarene College.

Before his post at Eastern Nazarene, Rossi spent two years as Assistant Sports Information Director at Merrimack College and one year as Athletic Communications Intern at Harvard University.

In his role at Emerson, Rossi will lead the Athletic Communication efforts, including broadcasts, statistics, press releases, website management, social media, creative content, and more.

A native of Coventry, Rhode Island, Rossi graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 2009 where he was a four-year member of the men's soccer team.
