Women’s Tennis Earns Sweep In Opening Match

The Emerson Women's Tennis Team took down the Thomas College Terriers on Sunday afternoon, earning they first win of the 2019 fall season.  The Lions started in doubles, with Eliana Flores-Barber and Annie Woodbury winning 8-2.  Thea Nagle and Sophie Oglensky played to an 8-0 victory in the second doubles as well as Cassia Burns and Angelica Ao in their third doubles match.

The Lions swept the singles matches as well.  Flores-Barber and Woodbury both won their matches 6-2, 6-0 while Nagle won hers 6-1 6-0.  Oglensky finished her match 6-0, 6-2.  Burns finished 6-0, 6-0 in the fifth singles and Sarah Skeeles finished 6-0,6-0 as well to close out the matches for the day.

The team gets back in action on Saturday when they host the Women's Emerson Invitational.
