Women's Soccer Adds Kayla Cappuzzo To Staff As Assistant Coach

Emerson College Women's Soccer is pleased to announce the hiring of Kayla Cappuzzo as an assistant coach for 2019.

Cappuzzo joins the staff after a successful and decorated college playing career. Graduating from Northeastern University in 2018 with a degree in Human Services and Psychology, Cappuzzo was a four-year standout with the Huskies earning CAA First-Team honors twice, Second-Team honors twice, and in 2014 named to the All-Rookie team. Cappuzzo finished her Northeastern career as the all-time program leader in assists, assists in a season, and fourth all-time in points. Upon graduation, Cappuzzo played professionally for MTK Hungaria FC in Budapest before relocating to her home on Long Island. There, she has begun her coaching career with youth clinic instruction.

At the youth level, Cappuzzo was a standout player at the ECNL level with Albertson Fury on Long Island. Her youth accomplishments also included invites to U-18 U.S. Women's National Camps and appearances for the U-18 U.S. Women's National Team at the Ten Nations Tournament in 2014.
