The Emerson Men's & Women's Cross Country teams traveled to hosts Gordon College to take part in the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday morning. Both teams placed fourth in their respective races. The WOmen took part in a 6K race while the men took part in an 8K race.
The Women's team was paced by Taylor Ranney who placed 10th in the race with a time of 25:39. Madison Lynch and Emily Hammond were close behind in 16th and 20th place. Lynch finished with a time of 26:50 while Hammond finished with 27:08. Emily Moughan was just over a minute behind Hammond with a 26th place finish at 28:11. Paige Thimmesch came in at 35th rounding out the placers for the Lions. Jenny Ferm Jocelyn Yang, Alexia Brown, Emma McGoldrick, and Rebecca Palladino closed out the race for the LIons. Ferm finished 47th at 29:46. Yang finished 54th at 31:03. Brown had a 72nd place finish at 35:04. McGoldrick finished 74th and Palladino finished 77th at #%:43 and 38:21 respectively.
The Men's Race saw freshman Oliver Glass lead the lions with a fifth-place finish at 28:45. Junior Joey MacNeil finished in an even 31:00 in 20th place. Kevin Serrano was close behind MacNeil at 31:52 and the 27th overall finisher. Phillipe Legagneur was right behind Serrano at 32:09 and 29th overall. Devin McAllister finished it up for the Lions with a 35:54 finish in 59th overall.
Both teams get back in action on October 12th when they travel to the Runnin' Monks Invitational hosted by St Joe's (Maine.)
