The Emerson Lions Men's Cross Country Team placed tenth out of nineteen teams in the Suffolk Invitational at Franklin Park on Friday. The team ws paced by Sophomore Joey MacNeil, who ran a 30:20 in the 8K race which was good for 48th overall. Phillippe Legagneur was second for the Lions, placing 66th with a time of 32:01. Sophomore Kevin Serrano came in seven seconds later than Legagneur, with a time of 32:08 and a 69th place finish. Michael Cerrullo and Michael Lynch came in next for the Lions at 72nd and 80th respectively. Cerullo had a time of 32:18 while Lynch had a time of 32:52. Tyler Ericson and Patrick Mulligan were the final two runners for Emerson, who came in at 105th and 119th. Ericson ran a time of 35:18 and Mulligan had a time of 38:40.
The Lions next race will be the NEWMAC Championships on the 27th of October. The race will be hosted by NEWMAC opponent Smith College.
