Cross Country Continues Strong Start to Season

The Emerson Men's Cross Country placed 11 of 17 teams and the Women's team placed 9 of 16 at the Pop Crowell invitational Hosted by Gordon. Joseph MacNeil paced the Men's team, coming in 30th place overall with a time of 29:09.8.  Phillipe Lagagneur was close behind MacNeil with a time of 31:35.9 and coming in 68th place.  Kevin Serrano and Michael Cerullo were neck and neck, finishing 78th and 80th respectively.  Serrano came in with a time of 32:20.4 and Cerullo was eight seconds behind with a time of 32:18.3. Tyler Ericson came in 104th with a time of 34:27.7. The team's total time was 2:39.51 for the 8K race.

The women's team was paced by Madison Lynch, who came in just over 26 minutes at 26:06:2.  Lynch placed 27th and right behind her was Chelsea Swift with a 39th place finish and a time of 26:21.4. Jessica Mann and Jeannette Mooney finished close to eachother was well, coming in 61st and 63rd respectively.  Mann had a time of 27:13.4 and Mooney had a time of 27:20.6.  Taylor Ranney and Sara Crocco finished upt he runners for the Lions.  Ranner had a time of 28:06 and a 79th place finish while Crocco had a time of 30:07.4 and a 106th place finish.

The Lions next race is inn two weeks at St. Joseph's College in Maine on October 6th.
