BOSTON, Mass. - Sophomore goal keeper Victoria Kanaris has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NEWMAC Monday afternoon.
Kanaris was steadfast between the posts again for the Lions as she collected two more wins on the season as EC topped New England College and Smith. On the week, Kanaris put up 23 saves for a 56% save percentages with 15 of them coming against NEWMAC opponent Smith. The award is the first for Kanaris.
The Lions will return to action this Wednesday as they set to host the UMaine Farmington Beavers on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Rotch Field in Boston, Mass.
