PAXTON, Mass. – A third straight double-double and career-high 25 points for Kristin Brice led the Emerson Women's Basketball Team to their seventh straight win Tuesday night as the Lions downed Anna Maria 77-53. With the win the Lions improve to 13-11 on the year and 7-4 in GNAC action while Anna Maria drops to 4-19 overall and 0-10 in conference play.

The first half saw Brice come out to dominate the floor as she nearly racked up her double-double in the first 20 minutes alone, dropping 14 points on the AMCATS and scrapping for seven boards. Amy Sherman heated up as well, hitting 50% from the three point arc to put up six for the Lions in the half as EC shot 45% as a team from the floor.

The Emerson defense stepped it up as well, forcing eight AMCAT turnovers for 10 points in the half. For Anna Maria Katie Pryor led the AMCATS with seven points in the half, but the Lions still ripped into the half up 34-23.

The second half saw Kristin Brice ramp it up again with 11 points and five boards as the AMCATS couldn't figure out a way to stop the sophomore. The Lions were even nastier in the second half, shooting 50% from the floor as a team.

Shannon Norton and Elissa Chojnicki jumped into the melee in the half, each dropping eight points while Pryor for the AMCATS was the only one able to make a little noise with her 10. The Lions couldn't be stopped in the paint this half though, putting in 16 points to close out the 77-53 win.

The Lions will close out the 2012-2013 regular season this Saturday as they travel to St. Joe's Maine to face-off against the Monks at 1 p.m.
