BOSTON, Mass - Men's Volleyball played a swift and decisive match against the visiting Lesley University Lynx, defeating them in 3 sets, 25-11, 25-10, and 25-14. With the win the Lions are now 3-4 overall and remain 0-1 in the GNAC. Lesley drops to 0-1 on the season.
Despite light numbers and an impressive Lions offense, the Lynx never backed down and continued fighting for every point.
Leading for the Lesley was Tyler Burns with 9 kills, 7 digs and a solo block. C.Jay Sutton lead the Lynx in assists with 13.
The Lions had multiple players with great offensive numbers. Jackson Wiley lead with 8 kills and 3 digs, followed closed by Win Kittivatcharapong and Stig Regan who had 7 and 6 kills respectively. Regan had 2 block assists and a solo block. Jared Gross and Jacob Di'Tore split digs with 8 each. Senior Brendan McGonigle had 28 assists, 2 kills, and 3 service aces to round out the rest of the Lions offense.
Lesley looks forward to their next matchup when they host Regis College on Saturday, February 13th at 1:00pm. The Lions return to action on February 9th when they host MIT for a 7:00 match.
