Emerson Takes 3-0 Victory Over Southern Vermont

 

Emerson improved their record today to 6-4 with their 3-0 tri-match win over Southern Vermont and Regis.

Emerson took the lead in the first set with 12 kills and only 7 errors while Southern Vermont had more kills, 14, they also had 9 errors. The two teams remained extremely close throughout the last two sets with only a 2 point difference in the second set and a 3 point difference in the third set.

Emerson senior, Connor Burton, led the Lions with 10 kills with junior, Jackson Wiley, coming in a close second with 9 kills. Neither could compare to Southern Vermont's Stuart Ramirez with 13 kills, or Keven Walley with 11.

Burton led the team in solo blocks, the team overall had 13. Junior Brendan McGonigle deserves honorable mention with 26 aces.

The Emerson Men's Volleyball team's next match is at home on February, 19th at 6:00pm against Regis.
