In their second meeting this season, the Emerson Lions once again stormed past the Lesley Lynx.
Jackson Wiley of Emerson had an outstanding 17 Kills, with teammates Brendan McGonigle and Nick Rusk earning 7. The first set was a close contest, with Emerson only holding the lead by a few points thanks to efforts from Jess Cherry and Tyler Burns of Lesley. But with the scoring standing 17-14, the Lions went on a run to finish the set 25-16.
The second set saw Lesley come out firing with 2 Kills by Burns and 2 Emerson errors bringing the score to 0-4. The Lions responded though with an ace by senior captain Connor Burton and aggressive play from Rusk. Emerson closed out the set 25-11.
In the third set the Lions again found success out scoring Lesley 25-13 and winning the match. This rises their record to 4-4 overall (1-1 in Conference Play).
The Lion's play next on Feb 14th at Regis College in a tri match against Southern Vermont. Games set for 1:00pm (Southern) and 3:00pm (Regis).
