BOSTON, Mass. – Eight kill debuts from Alex Frapech and Jackson Wiley highlighted the night Thursday as the Emerson Men's Volleyball Team opened up their 2013 season with a perfect sweep over Lesley. The Lions won 25-7, 25-9 and 25-7 to open up with a 1-0 record while the Lynx fall to 0-1.

Three was all Emerson needed to finish off the match in record pace as Alex Frapech swung .500 in the set for three kills to lead the floor while teammates Brendan McGonigle and Jackson Wiley both floored two. The Lion defense also stepped up with Frapech pulling in three digs and Connor Burton collecting another solo block as EC ran off with the sweep 25-7.

The Lions will return to action this weekend as they set to host a tri-match against Southern Vermont and Polytechnic (N.Y.). The first match is set to start at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Boston at Emerson's Brown-Plofker Gym.
