Soccer's Juan Ossa And Jacob Lawrence Named To GNAC All-Conference Team

BOSTON, Mass. – Juan Ossa and Jacob Lawrence have been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer First Team as announced by the GNAC Tuesday.

The honor is the second First Team honor for Ossa, who was also a 2011 First Team member. On the year, Juan scored four goals for the Lions as well as two assists. A physical presence in the midfield, Ossa also spearheaded the team's offense with fine-tuned passing and a nose for the net.

Lawrence, the 2010 GNAC Rookie of the Year and 2011 GNAC Third Team member, collects his third career honor this season, which saw him lead the Lions with nine goals and five assists.

A well-respected forward in the conference, Lawrence possesses a handle and quick-release shot that force opponents to target their defense. On the year, Jacob put 32 shots on net, for a 60% shot percentage. With his three game-winning goals during the season, Lawrence proved vital to Emerson's GNAC Semifinalist finish.

In addition,  Lions Patrick Lowndes and Jacob Lawrence were named to the 2012 GNAC All-Tournament Team, and Alex Sypsomos was named to the 2012 GNAC Sportsmanship Team.
