Boe Pearman Joins Athletics as New Assistant Athletic Director

BOSTON – Emerson College Director of Athletics Patricia Nicol announced the hiring of Belinda "Boe" Pearman to the staff as Assistant Athletic Director, as of Sept. 1. Pearman joins the staff following time, most recently, with Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, N.J. In total, Pearman brings over three decades of intercollegiate athletic experience to the Lions staff.

Pearman has held a variety of positions in her time in intercollegiate athletics including Director of Athletics at Saint Peter's University, Senior Associate Director of Athletics at Manhattan College and Southern Connecticut State University, and even Head Women's Basketball Coach for the University of Rhode Island.

Her experience ranges from Title IX Coordinator at Manhattan College to Compliance Officer while at Southern Connecticut. Her impressive experience also includes overseeing a NCAA Division I Program that included 19 sports, 300 student-athletes, and 65-plus staff.

Pearman, a standout athlete at the University of Maryland, was part of a team that made four NCAA Tournament appearances, including separate trips to the Elite Eight and Final Four. The Terrapins also amassed three Atlantic Coast Conference Championships in Pearman's time, with her also being named an All-ACC Conference Team Selection and an All-ACC Tournament Team Selection.

Pearman fills in for Emerson alum, Lindsay DeStefano Colbert ('08), as she moves on with her career with the New England Collegiate Conference.
