Emerson Athletics Welcomes Lindsay DeStefano to Administrative Staff

BOSTON, Mass. – Emerson College is proud to announce the addition of Lindsay DeStefano as the newest member of the Athletics staff. DeStefano comes to Emerson after an impressive coaching career, having overseen the Lasell College softball program in the 2012 season after leading the Mass Maritime program from 2010 to 2012. DeStefano is an Emerson alumna with a BS in Broadcast Journalism; she is also an alumna of the Athletics program. She was a stellar two-sport athlete for the Lions in Basketball and Softball.

On the hiring, DeStefano commented, “I would like to thank Stan Nance and the search committee for giving me the opportunity to return to my alma mater in this capacity. My four years at Emerson College were an amazing time in my life, and I am excited to work collaboratively to ensure a satisfying experience academically and athletically for the student-athletes.”

In addition to leading the Lasell and Mass Maritime softball programs before arriving at Emerson, DeStefano served as an assistant sports information director for the Buccaneers, where she assisted with game day ops, programs, and statistical data.

Prior to her time at Lasell and Mass Maritime, DeStefano served the ECAC as an affiliates assistant. In this role, she handled all communications and public relations for the ECAC’s leagues and affiliates. She spearheaded the implementation of various social media platforms as well as led the marketing strategy of the conference itself.
