Lion of the Week

Michael Sheng (#5) is a senior point guard on the Men's Basketball team. 

The senior continues to be contributing factor to the Lions fast start this young season, putting up stellar numbers on the charity line by converting 96.8 of his shots to match a 43.5 field goal percentage and 45.3% from behind the perimeter. 

On the week, Sheng finished 12-for-24 on the floor (50.0%) with a 55.3 percentage behind the three point line and collected 17-of-18 from the free throw stripe at 94.4%. He collected a total of 46 points, including a 22 point effort against No. 21 Amherst this past Saturday, and has pulled down 10 rebounds, credited with 12 assists and five steals. 

Sheng hails from Altadena, Calif. and is a Film Production major.

 

Michael Sheng (#5) is a junior point guard on the Men’s Basketball team. This is the second time Sheng has earned Lion of the Week accolades this season.

 

Sheng continues to be a contributing factor to Emerson’s offense to lead the Lions at the free throw line (37-for-43) and second in points (149). He averaged 35 minutes in three contests this past week and played 38 minutes against Curry.

 

He finished the week going 11-for-30 in the field with 38 points with 17 of them coming against Curry in Emerson’s 83-69 win on December 11. Sheng has also gone a nearly perfect 12-for-13 from the charity stripe and 5-for-15 beyond the arc.

 

Sheng is from Altadena, Calif. and is studying Film Production.
